$60 Billion Uplift Package Announced By CM Punjab For Development Purposes

The Punjab government has announced a splendid package for the economic prosperity and growth of the construction industry, as per Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision under the leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar. He said that for receiving permits relevant to building industries, one window system has been enforced.

He presided over a meeting of the Lahore Development Authority’s governing board (LDA). It was determined that mega projects for the relief of the Lahorites will be initiated. Recently, the CM has announced a new package for the betterment of Lahore.

According to sources, considering the popularity and demand of the people of Lahore, the Lake City administration has now started selling 1,000 plots of 5 Marla. Occupancy can be obtained by paying easy installments of three years, 150 wide roads, Grand Jama Masjid, Family Parks, Commercial Market Area, underground power cable, own grid in the new Sector M-8 with 5 Marla plots of Lake City. Key features include the 24-hour uninterrupted supply of full pressure gas, including station, full voltage electricity.

Management says Lake City residents can enjoy world-class golf clubs, family-designed Lake City Zoo, cinema house, Lake City shopping mall, Lake City Food Street, and other amenities, including excellent security arrangements.

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced to build 8 mega projects worth Rs 60 billion for Lahore. Punjab Chief Minister has announced a major construction package for the citizens of Lahore. In this mega package of Rs 60 billion, Rs. This includes building a state-of-the-art hospital with beds. A huge amount of Rs. 7 billion will be spent on the construction of the hospital.

In addition, the construction work of the underpass has been started in Shahkam Chowk in view of increasing traffic pressure. Rs. 1.3 billion will be spent on this public welfare project, ten underground water tanks will be constructed. It will cost Rs. 1 billion. An underpass will be constructed near Gulab Devi Hospital at a cost of Rs. 1 billion to improve the flow of traffic. Over 1.5 billion overhead bridges will be constructed in Iqbal Town Karim Block Market for the same purpose.

$1 Billion Housing Projects

The Punjab government has agreed to initiate a megaproject to create 35,000 apartments in the metropolis to alleviate the effect of the pandemic on the provincial economy, as COVID-19 has begun to decline.

In a tweet on Monday, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar made the announcement. The Chief Minister stressed that under the prime minister’s Naya Pakistan Housing Program, the government was about to initiate a $1 billion mega housing scheme for the salaried community in the provincial capital (NPHP).

He found out that economic operations were seriously impacted due to the coronavirus pandemic. To minimize the effects of the pandemic, the government has agreed to improve the housing and construction industries. The housing project will soon be initiated by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), which will improve the construction industry and other related industries.

Other Development Projects

Usman Buzdar said a state-of-the-art 1,000-bed hospital will be set up at a cost of Rs 7 billion on LDA land at Ferozepur Road near Arfa Karim Information Technology Park.

This hospital’s capacity will be 400 beds in the general ward, 400 in the cardiology ward, and 200 in the blood disease wards.

The health department’s summary for setting up the hospital was approved by the CM. He said that a 2-km-long overhead bridge starting at Naulakha Police Station will be built at a cost of Rs 4.5 billion from the railway station to Sheranwala Gate.

e-Khidmat Centres

Construction relevant NOCs and proposals will now be accepted by e-Khidmat Centres. Without bribing anyone, NOCs can be conveniently accessed from e-Khidmat Centres, and individuals would not have to attend public offices over and over again by bringing papers.

The government has set a time limit for the issuance of NOCs for construction-related facilities. Within the prescribed time period, the government would be obliged to grant NOCs and permits to the applicants.

Wrapping It Up

The leadership of Central Punjab proposed that Lahore be divided into four districts and suggested the appointment of deputy commissioners in these new districts.

The plan was tabled before the prime minister and chief minister by PTI Central Punjab President Ijaz Chaudhry. The division of hospitals on an institutional basis was often recommended by the city leadership.

It was learned later that the government of Punjab had agreed to separate Lahore into two districts.
