CPEC Chairman Lt Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa pointed out opportunities for improved connectivity under CPEC between Gwadar and the rest of the country. He said Gwadar is going to be linked to the rest of the country via a railway line, after completing Main Line-1 (ML-1), to take advantage of the benefits of CPEC. Asim Saleem Bajwa, Chairperson of CPEC Authority Lt Gen (retired), has expressed interest in the establishment by several companies in the Gwadar Free Zone, from the Gulf region.
“The free area of the town covering 2400 hectares has been extensively developed, not only for Chinese and local investments but also for the Gulf Zone,” he said in an interview with a YouTube channel.
